Perspectives in Vernacular Architecture

Perspectives in Vernacular Architecture was the official publication of the Vernacular Architecture Forum until 2006, when the VAF Board of Directors voted to change its name to Buildings & Landscapes. For nearly a quarter-century, from 1982 to 2006, PVA published the finest scholarship in vernacular architecture and cultural landscape studies. Volumes I through X, which were published in book form every two to three years, drew from the best papers delivered at the VAF’s Annual Conferences; beginning with Volume XI, the series was converted to a journal format with open submissions. Perspectives in Vernacular Architecture is archived at JSTOR.org and is being indexed by America: History and Life.
