Publications

VAF publications showcase scholarship in the field of vernacular architecture studies.  Our journal, Buildings & Landscapes is the leading source for scholarly work on North American vernacular architecture.  This title replaces the older Perspectives in Vernacular Architecture, published from 1982 through 2005.  A special book series, titled Vernacular Architecture Studies, is published in conjunction with the University of Tennessee Press.  The quarterly Vernacular Architecture Newsletter (VAN) is distributed to VAF members.
